Inspired by the tradition of the majlis—a space for conversation, hospitality, and rest—this iconic Duvet form merges heritage with contemporary comfort. Upholstered in luminous ruby red moiré, the fabric’s subtle wave and depth create movement, warmth, and a rich jewel-tone glow. The word moiré derives from the Arabic mukhayyar, meaning “the chosen,” reflecting intention, care, and the ritual of living well.
Designed by AD100 talent William Cooper for William White, the Duvet Seating reinterprets the traditional misned backrest through a softened, architectural silhouette suited to today’s interiors—equally at home in a salon, living room, studio, or retreat space.
