Vintage Jakarta White Teak Low Counter W/ Butterfly Repairs

Sale price$2,500.00

Sourced from Jakarta, this low counter is crafted from solid white teak, a dense, richly grained wood known for its durability and the warm, weathered tone it takes on with age. Years of use have given the surface a soft, sun-bleached patina that only comes from the real thing.

What makes this piece stand out are its hand-cut butterfly joints, traditional bowtie-shaped inlays used to stabilize natural cracks in the wood as it settled over time. Rather than hiding these repairs, they're shown off proudly, turning a practical fix into a defining design detail.

Low and long, it works as a sideboard, media console, or entryway landing spot, functional furniture with real character and a story behind every mark.
